Parent Teacher Associations

Some schools have a Parent Teacher Association or Friends of attached to their schools.  

PTA's are a great way for parents to get involved with their school community. All parents are entitled to join PTA's when your child attends the school.  The PTA has many roles including - engaging with parents, raising funds for the school to help support activities. 

The PTA tend to help run a range of social events for children and families.  

It is a great way to meet other parents and feel part of the school and your childs development.  Some parents find it helps them get back into work when being part of the PTA it develops a lot of event management and project management skills.
